Farmington Square Beaverton extends its deepest gratitude to the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) for their rapid and effective response to a fire at an apartment complex on the SW 14300 block of Farmington Road, located behind Farmington Square, this morning.

The fire was reported around 7:00 A.M., and TVF&R quickly arrived on the scene. Thankfully, their swift action extinguished the blaze before it could spread, and a subsequent search confirmed that no occupants remained in the building. Notably, Farmington Square's building and residents were unaffected by the fire.

Tawnya Theodore, Executive Director of Farmington Square, commends Carlos, a Med-Tech on duty during the incident, for his crucial role in ensuring the safety of residents. "Carlos exhibited exemplary composure and leadership in a stressful situation," Theodore states. "He meticulously followed emergency procedures, ensuring residents were prepared to evacuate if necessary. He also maintained a calm environment for residents and staff."

Farmington Square is especially grateful for the combined efforts of TVF&R and Carlos, whose quick thinking and decisive actions undoubtedly prevented potential injuries and further damage. Their dedication to public safety is truly commendable.
